Getting Ready For 2011

As part of our discussion on what types of insurance you should consider if your are self-employed, the 5th one would include internet business insurance.  It is a specialized liability coverage for damage done to your web business or online aspect of your business by hackers and viruses. In a related topic, a report by Fox News states, "now that the holiday season is coming to a close, small businesses should focus on these top areas for 2011."  Number 1 on the list is online work.   'Online contractors allow businesses to stay flexible, scale to meet demand, and tap expertise beyond their in-house staff. '  Next year, online work will likely double in size. Number 2:  'Mobile Development- with the widespread adoption of smartphones, businesses have the opportunity to get in front of millions of users. '   Number 3: Social Media- with more than 500 million users, Facebook can be an excellent way to connect with current and future customers. "Customers are beginning to expect that their favorite businesses will have a social media presence." Online work, mobile development and social media are tools worth considering for the coming year. With thoughtful planning, you can lay the groundwork for a successful 2011!
