I don't know if you are aware but over the weekend, San Antonio police began enforcing the city's new ordinance banning texting while driving. According to the San Antonio Business Journal, "The ordinance went into effect on January 15. If a police officer catches a driver using hand held mobile communication devices to read, write or send messages, that driver could get a citation and face a maximum fine of $200.00. The ordinance also prohibits drivers from playing games, surfing the Internet or doing any other activity besides talking to another person, even at red lights or stop signs. San Antonio is the third city in Texas to ban texting while driving." Be aware of the new ordinance if you are planning a trip to SA.
