So remember yesterday we talked about "The General" and how he may be needing Pet Health Insurance. Well, I found out that my son does carry pet health insurance for him, which is a good thing because he wakes up barking and only stops to drink water and then continues barking again. Anyway, I told you that I would touch on Pet Injury Coverage that is covered by some auto carriers. In this case, i'll talk about Progressive's Pet Injury Coverage. And although it's not available in a few states -it is in most. If you have a Progressive policy and didn't know this, pet injury comes complimentary with collision coverage if your dog or cat is injured in an accident while riding with you. Progressive will pay up to $1,000.00 to help with veterinary bills and medicine- cool deal if you ask me! Exactly how is it used you may be asking. Well, Pet Injury Coverage can be used whenever a pet is injured during a claim covered by Collision or Comprehensive coverage if the car is owned by you or his/her relatives. The good news is that there's no added cost if you choose to use it or not use it. Collision coverage must be included on at least one covered vehicle on the policy to receive Pet Injury Coverage. There are some coverage Highlights I would still like to go over with you on my next blog- stuff like what kind of pets are covered, and if they are covered while riding in the back of a pick up etc,.
