Last week I talked about the 8 million or more people nationwide who have lost their jobs in the last few years and who are now working from home. I also touched on the six types of insurance you should consider if you are one of those people who indeed work out of a home office. The first type of insurance that should be considered is Health Insurance. Of course, health insurance would seem to be a no-brainer, but it is a benefit that many people cannot afford if they go out on their own and have to pay the premium out of pocket. It's difficult enough to find a premium that's within reason but to find a company or organization to help you determine your needs can also be daunting! There are organizations like The Department of Insursance that is full of detailed information on health coverage plans, pre-exisitng conditions and benefits. If you would like to go over some specifics, you should give us a call. That's what we are here for- to help you find what's best for your particular situation. Stay tuned for the next blog- it will be on the 2nd type of insurance you should have if you work from home- Disability Insurance.
